What Comes Next? Carrot Caravans

What do you notice? What do you wonder? What comes next?

4 groups of carrots, 2 rows in each group. First, 10 carrots on the top row and 5 on the bottom. Next, 10 carrots on top and 9 on the bottom. Then, 10 carrots on top and 6 on the bottom. Last, 10 carrots on top and 10 on the bottom.

Draw or use objects to show what the next two pictures would look like. Describe how you know.
