Which One Doesn't Belong? Color Array

Look at a set of four pictures. Decide which one doesn’t belong with the other three. Describe your thinking using math words. There are many ways to think about each one!

A. shows a 6 by 3 rectangle. The top is half is yellow. The bottom half is green. B. shows a 7 by 6 rectangle. The left third is green. The middle third is yellow. The right third is purple. C. shows a 5 by 5 rectangle. The left 2 columns are green. The right 3 columns are yellow. D. shows a 9 by 7 rectangle. The top 5 rows are green. The bottom 4 rows are yellow.
