What Comes Next? Snowflake Shapes

1st, a big white snowflake on a blue square. The next one is the same. Then, a small blue snowflake on a black square. The next one is the same. Then, a big white snowflake on a blue square. The next one is the same.
  1. What patterns do you see?
  2. What would come next? And next after that? Can you tell, or point to the snowflake that would come next?
The options are: 1 big blue snowflake on a black square. 1 small blue snowflake on a black square. 1 big white snowflake on a blue square. 1 big white snowflake on a black square.
  1. What can you do with your body  to make the same pattern? Show someone in your family and see whether they can copy you. Then have them do something different for you to copy.
  2. Make the same kind of pattern with toys, food, pieces of paper, or drawings. Tell someone in your family about your pattern and ask them what comes next!
