How Many? Snowy Day

There are many things to count and many ways to think about the picture! Find as many ways as you can to answer the question, “How many?”

A snow person talks with Little Mouse. The snow person has 2 buttons for eyes. 3 more buttons suggest clothes. A carrot makes a nose. And 4 dots make a mouth. The snow person has 2 sticks for arms. It's wearing a top hat and a scarf with a long string of yarn coming off. 17 triangles make trees in the background. 2 more triangles with snow on top are closer. The sun is shining, too. It has 2 eyes, a nose, and a mouth.
  • What can you count in the picture? How many are there?
  • Show someone else what you counted and how you did it. Ask them to count something else in the picture and show you how they did it.

Challenge

Make a drawing showing something that you counted.
