Same & Different: Geoboard Fractions

Look at the two geoboards. What do you notice?

A: A geoboard shows 3 out of 4 equal parts shaded orange. 3-fourths. B: A geoboard shows 6 out of 8 equal parts shaded yellow. 6-eights. The number of shaded parts in A is less than the number of shaded parts in B, but they represent the same fraction.
