Which One Doesn't Belong? Putting Together Pieces

Look at this set of four pictures. Decide which one doesn’t belong with the other three. Use math words to describe your thinking. There are many ways to think about each one!

A: In number pieces: Two groups of 4 10-strips + 2 groups of 4 10-strips. B: A $1 bill and 2 dimes + 4 dimes. C: In number pieces: 1 mat and 1 strip + 4 strips. D: In number pieces: 1 mat + 3 strips and 5 units + 2 strips and 5 units.
